Suggestions for improving the flexibility

To improve flexibility in martial arts is to do stretching exercises. The stretch reflex is what every muscle is subjected to this may be sudden or extreme change. The stretch reflex will tighten and then groped to shorten shorten when a muscle lengthens beyond a certain point. During stretching exercises this the tension you feel.

The stretch reflex prevents and in some cases strains and tears. Muscles can be overloaded and tear easily if it were not for the stretch reflex. The downside of this is that you can fully utilize the body.

When extending the reflection myotatoc muscles you will find a new limit, but this must be slow and consistent. it is better to define the goals that stretch so if you overstretch and injure the muscle will have to start at a lower level.

There are three types of stretching:

Static - This is a trait controlled. One position is maintained for ten to sixty seconds. This is to extend to feel a slight pain. During this exercise concentrate on relaxing the target muscles and breathe deeply.

Dynamic - This is to move the muscle through the full movement. This increases the flexibility, but must be done with caution. Concentrate on maintaining a correct dynamic stretch, smooth movement and also not disturb the muscle. Examples of dynamic stretches are knee raises, leg raises, arm circles and circles of the trunk.

Ballistic - This is a type of bouncing exercise and is moving pressure to stretch the muscles. Since this is the stretch reflex that can cause tense muscles, rather than relaxing. There is a high risk of injury to ballistic stretching.

As with any exercise is better to increase the blood supply to improve flexibility. Then move to joint loosening exercises followed by dynamic stretches to get the muscles moving freely. If you are working only on flexibility, do static stretches next. Do some light static stretches at the end of every workout to relax and refresh your muscles .......
