I have a child with AD-H and has not been at all easy
Being a psychologist and expert on the psychology of child development, as a mother I was faced with the problem of having a son who suffered from early ADHD.
My experience has always been focused on the clinic, so when I told my son was suffering from ADD I had no idea what I'm talking about. So I gave myself the task of investigating, questioning, reading, visiting, documents all the time on the issue in a profound way. I attended conferences, courses, workshops for children, parents, and I got in touch with doctors, neurologists and specialists with endless experts in the field. I also looked for alternative therapies and food.
In the process I could tell that there is great information on this topic. Doctors have capitalized on it being documented as it is an inherited disease and psychoneurological because there is a large bibliography on the matter.
And I could see he had a great knowledge of the subject, however, few talk about what the experience of having a child with this condition. The first is the confusion that reigns, denial and a great anxiety about the future and present of the child concerned.
I took the reins of treatment, that does not mean that I gave it, on the contrary, when I wore was the relationship greatly. So I was very attentive to their therapies of all kinds, to regularization in school, stay in touch with teachers, doctors and specialist teachers. Where I do I was very careful in not allowing for any reason and self esteem is damaged see in front of their school failures.
Over time I realized and came to the conclusion that these children and their families, but above all of them mothers, are not within its expertise. The first thing that exists is anxiety, then isolation, finally, face and explain to the couple, the relationship with other children. Finally, some experiences that gave me the opportunity to advise these mothers and fathers for better guidance for these children.
And then, sums up my experience, now, my son is a young college student and very successful, but even when I am convinced that I value and also suffered more than what was not always easy it could meet all the demands raised by the school But the pound. And I'm sure it helped my understanding of the problem significantly. Always maintained an attitude of respect, support and provide great support. And even though experts told me many things, I was very anxious that his personality is developed successfully.
Therefore, in an area we Cecreto that allows parents and teachers reported on this condition ...
And accordingly, and from my experience I have developed a material called: Understanding ADHD: A closer look human for the sufferer, and a manual that guides parents and teachers to better manage situations of this nature.
It's not the same being diagnosed ADHD to have the experience of suffering ..
My mission is the emotional quality of life for these children and parents.
