How to get online with your PSP using a wireless router in 7 Easy Steps


The Wi-Fi connectivity of the PSP has many interesting features from allowing you to play online with your friends, exchange pictures, and even surfing the internet, which just proves that the PSP is more than just a handheld games console. Setting up the PSP to surf the Internet is much easier if you have a wireless router connected. Once connected you can follow the 7 simple steps below to make the connection.

Step1 - Go to Settings and select Network Settings

Step 2 - Select Infrastructure Mode and start a [new connection]. Setting Infrastructure Mode, you will be able to take advantage of the best features of PSP, such as browsing the Internet and play online with your friends.

Step 3 - Go to settings and select WLAN scanning for an SSID for the access points nearby. If there is more than one access point, simply connect to the one with the strongest signal.

Step 4 - Once an SSID is found, select (make sure not to rename it) and move to WLAN security settings. It should be noted that if the access point uses WEP encryption, you must enter the WEP key manually (when the access point is detected, you will see the type of encryption is running. WEP key must be displayed on your router. If you see anyone, just take the next step.

Step 5 - Now you have a few choices of both user-friendly menus and custom settings addresses. I suggest you select the option that will complete the infrastructure mode Easy set-up automatically.

Step 6 - Choose your Connection name and enter. A list that appears. Press the x button to save your settings.

Step7 - Test Connection to make sure everything works. If all goes well, will show the Network Settings Connection name, signal strength, SSID, BSSID, Channel, Security and IP address.
