Pedraza, City of Sails

If you are looking for a romantic place to spend a weekend I recommend Pedraza in Segovia.

The month of July is a fantastic opportunity to explore this medieval town. Each year, the first and second Saturday of July are celebrated "The Candlelight Concert." It's an incredible feeling to contemplate the beauty of Pedraza fully illuminated by thousands of candles. And while enjoying the show can attend classical music concerts in the Plaza Mayor.

The experience of walking on cobblestone streets lit by candles is just magical, unforgettable. Villagers and visitors candles adorn the population. There are no street lights, we assure you that your senses will be ecstatic to see such beauty.

What you need to visit

- The castle is located north of the town. In the centuries XIII - XV, the best view of this fortress is at sunrise.

- The Plaza Mayor, one of the most beautiful in Spain. The arcades are home to the Town Hall and Community House Villa and Earth. In this place are grills and taverns where you can taste good suckling lambs and piglets.

- The Romanesque church, belongs to the parish of San Juan. The tower stands out for its two upper where they open a few windows framed by columns of half a point.

And the streets, winding, cobbled, with balconies decorated with flowers.

Where to eat

Restaurant Hotel de la Villa, El Yantar, Juniper or El Corral de la Joaquina are some restaurants where you can sample the culinary delights of this town. The lambs are roasted whole dish. And do not fail to try and punch soplillos Segovia, prepared in traditional bakeries are delicious.

So now you know. When you get a free weekend get close to Pedraza! You will not regret.
