The Art of Human Values

Human Values, and write it in capital letters, no wonder they have been, are and should not cease to be, the cornerstones, pillars, the foundation on which all education should be built, but not only that of our young people, who are the future of our world and key to our present, but of ourselves, as in many cases, we, the adults who incur violate some of the most basic human values, such as Honesty, Punctuality, Responsibility, patience, gratitude, solidarity ... and many other values without realizing we leave no apparent reason, and do not forget that our young people who are like blank books to be filled with straight lines, learn our customs and behavior, and if they are not straight, nor will their lines. But do not forget that people around us have taken good note of what we do and surely, with the same money we paid, and if our behavior is always in a world full of human values, and receive in return for our actions .

Nor should we forget that our young people are educated not only in schools where there are usually trained professionals to provide appropriate materials, but the education of our young people is a task for everyone, inside and outside the classroom or jobs, because all our young people and even more are people who are learning all the time and situation, and Human Values learned in the classroom as well as in, "the school of life", and often the school of life with the values it offers, is the mark for us all our lives. I note how important it is to know what is the longest river in the world, like listening to an old man when you want to share with us a few minutes of your time or your personal history. Or how important is to know in what year was America discovered, such as remembering the birthday of someone you love, for friendship, love or generosity, Human Values also be cultivated with great care, and sometimes by force custom, we cause them to lose their true meaning.

I must say I feel very sad when I hear the phrase, "There are two words that will open all doors, 'push' and 'stretched'" when the two actual words that will open all doors, even those with locks that are "Thank you" and "Please," it seems that one will be filled when the spirit says or hears. These two magic words contain in themselves a whole philosophy of life that includes, or perhaps goes beyond the human values as they are not claiming anything to the person who gave, but only are 'celebrating' an act or omission of a person that deserves your respect. The version of the sentence with the word 'push' and 'stretching', is very common among young people lacking certain values, or to make a joke, but the truth is that by dint of saying it more and more people are taking relevance that is relegated to oblivion the genuine and proper sentence meaning.

Human Values, so discredited by certain sectors in the present times, should be our first concern in the education of our youth, as only cementing a good base, full of great and profound human values, we can build a good future and compose a society where human values are the true standards of us all, the whole society, of all mankind.
